Justice for Leanne  - Coming in August with Decadent Publishing

“You want me?” She asked in amazement.  He could tell from the tone in her voice that she wasn’t going to be an easy sell.. “It has been three hundred years and now you’ve decided we should move our relationship to the next level.  Well let me tell you something,” he watched as she stood up and started pacing, a delicious red blush coming to her cheeks, just like he was thinking about earlier. “You don’t get to decide when we more our relationship forward, or even if it does.  You aren’t the only one involved in this.  You can’t just come in here and after all this time tell me that you are making the choices.

“This is my life too.  Maybe I don’t want to move forward. Did you think of that?  Did it occur to you after years of wearing my heart on my sleeve for you, I don’t want to take the risk that moving forward would present?  Wait.” She frowned as if she’d only just now heard the other part of his statement. Suspicion flared in her eyes, and she peered intently at him. “What things haven’t you told me?”

Justice was following her with his eyes.  He almost missed her change in topic in the middle of her rant.  “Well, there are some complications about when I choose you to have as my scale bearer that I still haven’t told you about.  We need to work through these before anything else can happen.”

“What kinds of issues and complications are we talking about?  What is there to know? I carry the scales because you can’t touch them.  As long as you want me to carry them, I will live.  You put the souls on the scales, and if they don’t measure up, I send them back to Hell.  If they do measure up, then I get to send them through the Brimstone City Gates.” Leanne looked over to where Justice was still sitting at the table.

Kraig's Kat - Coming in August with Decadent Publishing

Katherine just stared at them.  She tried hard to read them, as she had been since she first met them, to see if they were lying, but she still was not able to get anything at all from them. She now thought that part of the reason she couldn’t read them was because they were werewolves. She hadn’t ever met werewolves before so she didn’t have an answer as to why she was blocked.  She shivered a little, but realized she wasn’t scared of Ethan and Jared it was the intensity that they radiated, especially the two of them together.  They were raw power sitting here in this bakery like it was natural, and she supposed for them, it was.

“Hey,” a deep voice whined behind her, “what about me?  I’m a werewolf too.”  So intent on trying to figure out the two men and two women in front of her Katherine hadn’t heard anyone come up to the table. Her heart pounding Katherine was instantly aware that she had not been vigilant in her watch, she had let her guard down already.

Frantically scrambling to get herself turned around to see who had made the remark Katherine found herself gazing into melted chocolate, she was sure of it.  Katherine knew there was no way anyone’s eyes were that color, the man standing before her had to have melted chocolate for eyes.  Gazing up and into them, Katherine didn’t want to look away from them to check out the rest of him, which must be spectacular if his eyes were anything to go by.

Kraig was entranced.  There was no other word for it.  The creature sitting in front of him, holding his gaze as if no one else was around was perfect.  The bright turquoise eyes holding his own were made for him to drown in and he would go a happy wolf to his drowning.  He felt like he had come home and he never wanted to leave again.

“Hello… the rest of us are still here,” an amused voice pulled Katherine from the chocolate she had been gazing into.  She looked around to see four slightly amused faces watching her and the man, err wolf that had just stepped up.  Katherine blushed and looked down at the table for something to keep her attention. She fiddled with her coffee mug and the napkin to hide her face.  “Why don’t you grab a seat and join us at the table Kraig, since you seem to have joined the party.
